Day 1: Arrival in Fez
- You'll be greeted at Fez-Saïss Airport and transferred to your Riad in the medina.
- Enjoy a welcome dinner featuring a tasting of local specialties.
Day 2: Fez, the Cradle of Moroccan Craftsmanship
- Morning: A guided tour of the Fez medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the traditional tanneries, a unique sensory experience where you’ll see ancient leather treatment techniques. You'll also explore Foundouk Nejjarin, a temple showcasing the timeless art of Hispano-Muslim architecture, and the ancient Quranic school, Medersa Bou Inania, inaugurated in the 14th century. The tour includes visits to the artisan souks and Mellah, the Jewish quarter.
- Afternoon: Immerse yourself in the art of weaving during a workshop led by a master artisan. Learn the basics of this technique and be guided to design a unique pattern suitable for weaving. You'll then have the opportunity to create your own textile on a mini loom, a unique souvenir made by your own hands.
Day 3: Fez, Culinary Immersion
- Morning: A cooking class that starts with a shopping trip in the medina. You'll learn how to choose the best ingredients and blend spices. Back at the Riad, you'll learn to prepare Moroccan salads and discover the secrets to a successful tagine, which you'll cook in the pure Moroccan tradition. At the end of the class, the apprentice cooks will enjoy a convivial lunch together, savoring the dishes they have prepared in the setting of the Riad.
- Afternoon: A Hammam session with a traditional scrub.
Day 4: Fez – Volubilis – Meknes – Rabat
- In the morning, you'll depart for the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a testament to Roman history. Then, continue to Meknes, where a local guide will introduce you to this imperial city, known for the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and the Bab Mansour gate.
- Afternoon: Transfer to Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
Day 5: Rabat – Exploring Calligraphy
- Morning: The morning will be dedicated to the world of Moroccan Arabic calligraphy. This carefully curated and personalized experience will be led by a local professional artisan, who will introduce you to the tools and materials you'll use, describe the workshop, and share the history of this craft. During the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to get hands-on, under the supervision of the artisan-teacher, who will guide and assist you on the working techniques and materials used throughout the steps of creating your own calligraphy art on leather or wood.
- Afternoon: Transfer to Safi.
Day 6: Safi, City of Potters
- Morning: Visit a Zellige workshop for an authentic experience. Guided by local artisans who have mastered their craft, you’ll learn not only the traditional techniques of pottery and mosaic making but will also discover in more detail the artistic heritage of Morocco. Additionally, you will leave with tangible items, handmade by your own hands.
- Afternoon: Free time to stroll through the city, visit the Portuguese castle, or enjoy the beach.
Day 7: Departure
- Transfer to Casablanca or Marrakech Airport for your return flight, with wonderful handcrafted souvenirs that you have created yourself.
