Summit Adventure: Trekking in the High Atlas and the Climb of Mount Toubkal
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – Gateway to the High Atlas
Arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, where you will be greeted and transferred to your accommodation.
Check-in and free time to relax or soak in the atmosphere of the Medina.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ourika Valley – Imlil
After breakfast, your driver will take you approximately 20 kilometers through a picturesque landscape towards the Ourika Valley, a verdant valley with its red Berber villages clinging to the foothills.
Upon arrival, a discovery of the waterfalls and local way of life is essential with a short hike along the river.
Lunch in a traditional restaurant with a view of the valley.
Continue to Imlil at an altitude of 1,740m, the charming village of the Al Haouz province at the gateway to Toubkal National Park. It is the starting point for the ascent of Mount Toubkal, whose summit is the highest in Morocco and North Africa at 4167m.
Check into a mountain guesthouse and have dinner.
Day 3: Trekking in the Heart of the High Atlas
Start the trek through the landscapes and panoramic views, after your breakfast, with your mountain guide who will accompany you to the refuge at 3200m altitude (approximately 6 hours of walking). During this trek, you will meet nomads and discover their daily life.
Picnic lunch in the great outdoors.
Dinner and overnight stay in a refuge or a typical guesthouse.
Day 4: Ascent of Toubkal
Very early morning departure, after breakfast, for the ascent of Toubkal 4167m, the highest peak in North Africa, offering beautiful views over the entire Atlas range and the Al Haouz plain. Return to the refuge for lunch.
After lunch, descend towards Imlil (9 hours of walking).
Dinner and overnight stay in a mountain guesthouse.
Day 5: Imlil Valley & Return to Marrakech
Morning hike in the Imlil Valley with lunch in the Imlil Valley.
Transfer by private vehicle to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Upon arrival in Marrakech, a Hammam session awaits you.
Dinner and overnight in Marrakech.
Day 6: Departure
Breakfast.
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
